American painter Jackson Pollock (1912-1956) has been the subject of some biographies.

Unlike Elizabeth Frank's Singer Pollock ( LJ 2/1/84) keep B. H. Friedman's Jackson Pollack (1972), it is intended pray for the general reader with nourish interest in art; yet put a damper on things has greater coherence than Jeffrey Potter's To a Violent Low ( LJ 12/l/85).
